What a fantastic year for weddings….A wintry white spring, followed by a long hot summer, and a warm cosy Autumn. I photographed lots of awesome couples and their friendly families. Went to some new stunning venues and also visited some familiar ones. Here is a snippet of the fab weddings I photographed throughout 2018. If you are getting married in 2019 or 2020 and like my style of photography please get in touch!
This Wedding took place at Rutland Water, last Christmas, followed by a very cosy reception at The Finch’s Arms, Hambleton. The Bride & Groom were childhood sweethearts and tied the knot with their nearest and dearest watching. Louise looked absolutely stunning and left Jonny speechless! It was all candlelight and log fires and so very Christmassy. I loved every minute of capturing this truly adorable wedding. OK it didn’t really snow but who cares!
This wedding took place in August 2016 and despite the rainy weather it was a cracker of a wedding. The lovely Bride & Groom were so relaxed and happy, I think it rubbed off on everyone – the weather was never going to dampen anyone’s spirits. Normanton Church looked almost mystical in the drizzle, and I’ve never seen Rutland water look so still and calm. Cars were a big theme of the wedding, as the Groom restores old cars as […]
This wedding at Childerley Hall & Long Barn, Cambridge in August 2016 was simply stunning. The weather was glorious, and the day started at the Bride’s Mum’s house in a village called Over, near Cambridge, where the Bride’s family and Bridesmaids were busy getting ready. The wedding ceremony was to take place a short walk away at Over Church, which holds a special place in the Bride’s family’s heart as it is where her Grandma and Granddad are buried. Following […]
Kelmarsh Hall near Kettering, Northants, is simply a stunning wedding venue. Not only is it a beautiful building both inside and out, it has the most gorgeous gardens and surroundings. This wedding took place at Kelmarsh Hall in June 2016, with the lovely couple Hannah & Adam. They wanted a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and with fun fair stalls and lots of garden games it certainly was everything they wanted it to be. If you’re getting married at Kelmarsh Hall […]
Another 2015 wedding to blog which took place in October (Oh I am so far behind with this blogging thing). It was a beautiful Autumn day, still warm and thankfully dry! Lisa & Marc tied the knot at the pretty little Marholm Church, with lots of free range children! Followed by a reception at the Sibson Inn near Wittering. It was a cracking day, and the bride looked absolutely stunning. If you are getting married in or around Peterborough, Cambridge, […]
Still not got round to blogging all of 2015’s weddings yet, so here is another cracker of a wedding which took place in August 2015 on an absolutely beautiful summer’s day. The couple tying the knot were Ben & Steph. Although living in London they had chosen Steph’s childhood’s home in Bourne Lincolnshire, and the lovely Bourne Abbey for their ceremony followed by a fun and relaxed reception held at the William Cecil in Stamford. Bourne Abbey Wedding Photography William […]
Back to the Summer of 2015 for another wedding of the lovely couple Amineh and Jon. Their ceremony took place at St Barnabas Church in Cambridge, which was particularly special because Jon himself had been in charge of the recent refurbishment and re-building of the church, which looked magnificent inside. The reception was held at Quy Mill, in Stow-cum-Quy, Cambridge, a lovely wedding venue, particularly so in late July when surrounded by glorious cornfields. It rained a little in the […]
Halstead House is a lovely place to have a country wedding, within acres of beautiful Leicestershire rolling hills, and next to a real working farm. I had the pleasure of photographing Amy & Tim’s wedding there, back in the summer of 2015 (I am so far behind with my blogs, it’s going to take ages to catch up!). Amy & Tim love country music and so this was a bit of a theme for their wedding day – right down […]
Wadenhoe House in Northamptonshire is a lovely setting for a wedding. Last winter, on 23rd December, Jen and Mark tied the knot with a special intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. The weather was thankfully a beautifully crisp and clear winter’s day. Due to the light fading very early this time of year, Jen and Mark had decided to make the most of the available light and did what is known as a ‘first look’. This is […]
