Another 2015 wedding to blog which took place in October (Oh I am so far behind with this blogging thing). It was a beautiful Autumn day, still warm and thankfully dry! Lisa & Marc tied the knot at the pretty little Marholm Church, with lots of free range children! Followed by a reception at the Sibson Inn near Wittering. It was a cracking day, and the bride looked absolutely stunning. If you are getting married in or around Peterborough, Cambridge, Rutland or Stamford and would like me to capture your wedding day, please contact me, my dates for 2018 are nearly all gone……

Still not got round to blogging all of 2015’s weddings yet, so here is another cracker of a wedding which took place in August 2015 on an absolutely beautiful summer’s day. The couple tying the knot were Ben & Steph. Although living in London they had chosen Steph’s childhood’s home in Bourne Lincolnshire, and the lovely Bourne Abbey for their ceremony followed by a fun and relaxed reception held at the William Cecil in Stamford.

Back to the Summer of 2015 for another wedding of the lovely couple Amineh and Jon. Their ceremony took place at St Barnabas Church in Cambridge, which was particularly special because Jon himself had been in charge of the recent refurbishment and re-building of the church, which looked magnificent inside. The reception was held at Quy Mill, in Stow-cum-Quy, Cambridge, a lovely wedding venue, particularly so in late July when surrounded by glorious cornfields. It rained a little in the morning, but nothing could dampen anyone’s spirits that day! It truly was a very special wedding between two people who quite clearly love each other ever so dearly.

Halstead House is a lovely place to have a country wedding, within acres of beautiful Leicestershire rolling hills, and next to a real working farm. I had the pleasure of photographing Amy & Tim’s wedding there, back in the summer of 2015 (I am so far behind with my blogs, it’s going to take ages to catch up!). Amy & Tim love country music and so this was a bit of a theme for their wedding day – right down to cowboy boots for the bride Yee-hah!

Wadenhoe House in Northamptonshire is a lovely setting for a wedding. Last winter, on 23rd December, Jen and Mark tied the knot with a special intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. The weather was thankfully a beautifully crisp and clear winter’s day. Due to the light fading very early this time of year, Jen and Mark had decided to make the most of the available light and did what is known as a ‘first look’. This is when the Bride and Groom meet up prior to the ceremony to see one another in secret before any of the guests arrive, have a few pictures taken and get some quiet moments together. This is really worthwhile if your having a winter wedding and want to make the most of the limited daylight with photographs. It’s also really romantic and special as the Bride and Groom get to see one another before anyone else!

The wonderful Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire hosted this gorgeous Autumn wedding. What a truly stunning venue this is, with acres of beautiful gardens and countryside it is a wedding photographer’s dream. Autumn can be a lovely season with spectacular colours all around. It managed to stay dry most of the day until dark, but it did threaten rain a few times. Still this only adds to the drama of the skies! Becca, the Bride looked stunning. In the months leading up to the wedding she had handmade lots of the decor for the dinner tables herself, with a Gold, Silver and Bronze colour scheme it looked fab and very elegant. The Bride and Groom’s son, Dexter, made the brilliantly unique seating plan out of Lego people. This was a fantastic day and hope you enjoy looking through some of the pictures taken.

What a lovely Summer wedding this was back last year. It took place in the Bride’s original home village of Elton, with the ceremony at Elton Church followed by a relaxed and fun reception next door at the Black Horse Pub. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, you couldn’t have asked for better. The Bride had made loads of the Marque decorations herself (with a little help from her Mum too) and the Black Horse grounds looked really nice, with paper pom-poms and lights hanging from the trees. What a stunning wedding dress, this is still one of my favourite dresses ever and it looked stunning on Lizzie.
I am sooo bad at blogging past weddings because I find it hard to devote the time (excuses excuses) when I’m really busy photographing current weddings and pre-wedding shoots, of which there are so many this year! So don’t let the bad blogging put you off!
Here is a gorgeous wedding from last year, a little bit of 1950’s rock n roll, pink converse, bouncy castles, it was hot hot hot, woo hoo, it was a glorious unique day 🙂

Its’s been a very busy year, with some fantastic weddings, which I will share soon! I haven’t had time to keep my blog page updated, but there is one very good reason for this – Meet Jake!
Yes, my beautiful little baby boy arrived in April, and put a stop to all things photography for a while! But it’s full steam ahead for 2016 with some lovely weddings to look forward to!
Love him to bits xxx
